Nourish Hope, an initiative of 3Dees Gems CIC, is preparing for its upcoming community outreach project titled Hope Lives Here, taking place on Saturday, 21 March 2026.

This special Easter initiative is designed to support vulnerable families in our community by providing essential food packages to households who may be experiencing financial hardship and Easter sweet bags filled with treats and small gifts to brighten the season .

As part of the project, we will also host a fun Easter celebration for the children, giving them the opportunity to enjoy a joyful afternoon filled with activities such as an Easter egg hunt, crafts and coloring, music, games, and food & refreshments.

The Hope Lives Here project is about more than providing food; it is about creating moments of happiness, connection, and hope for families who need encouragement. By bringing children together to celebrate while also supporting their families with practical help, we aim to remind our community that hope truly lives here.

In December 2025, Nourish Hope, an initiative of 3Dees Gems CIC, successfully hosted a special Christmas celebration for children and families in our community.

This project was made possible with the generous support of the The National Lottery Community Fund, whose funding enabled us to bring families together during the festive season and provide meaningful support to those in need.

The celebration created a warm and joyful environment where children and their families could experience the spirit of Christmas through food, gifts, music, and festive activities. For many families, the event provided not only a celebration but also a sense of community, belonging, and hope.

Thanks to the support received, we were able to ensure that children enjoyed a memorable Christmas experience filled with laughter, treats, and gifts. Seeing the smiles on their faces reminded us of the importance of creating opportunities that uplift and support families facing difficult circumstances.

Nourish Hope remains deeply grateful to The National Lottery Community Fund, our volunteers, and everyone who contributed to making the event a success.

Together, we continue to work towards our mission of supporting vulnerable families and ensuring that children in our community feel valued, supported, and hopeful for the future.

Over the past four months, the Nourish Hope initiative has been an enlightening journey that has deeply affected our understanding of child hunger and the broader issue of food insecurity among families. This period has been an eye-opener, revealing the depth of need in our communities and strengthening our resolve to address these challenges.

1. Impact on Families: One of the most rewarding aspects of this project has been witnessing the happiness of families receiving food. The smiles, gratitude, and appreciation from those we were able to help have been incredibly fulfilling. Seeing firsthand how our efforts are touching lives brings a deep sense of satisfaction and purpose.
2. Expanding Our Reach: Initially, our focus was on assisting families with children. However, as the project progressed, we saw opportunities to extend our support to other vulnerable groups, including homeless individuals and others struggling with hunger. Expanding our reach beyond our original scope has enriched our experience and filled our hearts with even greater joy, knowing that we could make a difference for more people in need. To make this expansion possible, we had to actively seek additional donations. We raised funds specifically for this purpose by opening an account with JustGiving, where people generously contributed to help us support these additional groups. This successful fundraising effort enabled us to broaden our impact, reaching more people in need and making our hearts even fuller.
3. Opening New Opportunities: This project also opened doors to other areas where assistance is needed. Through our work, we identified other groups and communities that could benefit from similar initiatives. This has encouraged us to continue our efforts and explore ways to broaden our impact.

We are thrilled to announce that Nourish Hope will be hosting its inaugural food bank event at the South Harrow Baptist Church. This event is a significant step towards fulfilling our mission to combat child hunger and support families in need within our community.

Event Details:
Come and join us on the 4th of May from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM. We will be distributing food parcels to those in need, offering a range of nutritious foods and essential supplies to support local families.

Voucher Information:
To collect a food parcel, please ensure you bring your Nourish Hope Food Voucher. Vouchers are required for collection and have been distributed through local community organizations, schools, and our partner entities.
